Networking relates to establishing connectivity between computing devices - wired or wireless. Cisco's associate-level certification is Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). This is the first technical and widely accepted certification one needs to pursue before they can consider more advanced certifications such as the professional-level CCNP and the expert-level CCIE.

CompTIA Security+ Certification
CompTIA is an industry standard organization that offers several entry-level certifications. The Security+ certification validates that an individual has baseline knowledge of baseline CyberSecurity concepts. It's a good certification for one to pursue if they want to pursue a CyberSecurity career.
This certification covers the following topics: Identity & Access Management (IAM), networking, network security, host security, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), vulnerability and threat management, attack protection, risk management, security controls, cryptography/Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and risk mitigation. The annual salary of Security+ certified professionals is almost $70,000/year based on surveys.
